General Manager Apprentice Opportunity

The company directors have overall responsibility and accountability for managing all aspects of our two related businesses, Schoolwear Plus and Workwear Plus.  Being small businesses, the directors get actively involved in a wide variety of activities.  We are looking for an enthusiastic understudy to shadow many of these activities, absorb knowledge and develop proficiency in all of them, over time.  Whilst this apprenticeship post is as an employee of the Schoolwear Plus business, you will have the opportunity to undertake similar activities for both the Schoolwear Plus and Workwear Plus businesses.

As a professional apprentice you will work towards a BA (Hons) Chartered Manager qualification, alongside real work experience.  You will be paid throughout and there are no tuition fees, as these will be met by Schoolwear Plus and the Government.

The Degree course will start in September 2022 and will be studied part-time over 3 years.

For this role, we believe that your attitude is more important than any specific industry experience.  Our directors have a wealth of practical experience and are supported by a strong team from which you will be able to learn all there is to know about our businesses.  Consequently, we are looking for someone who is prepared to work hard, demonstrates passion, enthusiasm, dedication and great inter-personal skills, has a “can do” attitude and shows potential to develop into a visionary leader, confident decision-maker and competent professional manager.
